Use this graphic organizer to write down important notes while you read.  This will help you immensely when you write your summary.

Who is the subject of your biography? When and where was he or she born?
What are the person’s main accomplishments? Why were they important and how did the accomplishments help other human beings?
What are some of the struggles or challenges this person faced?
How did this person overcome their challenges?  What characters traits helped them overcome these challenges?
What did this person go on to do in their life?  When did he or she die?
