Land of Plenty

Period 3:  We will read about the "Land of Plenty" this week and learn about immigrants and their struggles and success coming to a new world.  Get read to make predictions and inferences.  

 Below are your vocabulary words:

 Dalmatian: a short haired dog that has a white coat with black spots

 frilly: a ruffle or trimming of lace or cloth

 promenade: a stroll or a walk in a public place

 sprain:  to over strain, wrench or injure
