Bird Book!

Bird Book assignment (Due date not yet set…)

For this assignment you will be required to bird watch.  Yes, you will sit in nature and watch the birds.  Try to figure out what type of bird you saw (ask a parent or Google it). Then, you will write an informational text about the bird that a third-grade student would be able to read and comprehend.  Keep your audience in mind at all time and make sure you use kid-friendly language when writing. You will have to use a bird book or the internet to get the information you need in order to write the information down.  Be sure you are writing in your own words because copying information straight from the book or internet is a copyright infringement.

You will feature five different birds in your bird book.  Each bird will include a colored pencil illustration drawn by you and this information (use complete sentences).
